St. Louis capitalists have subscribed and paid $70,000 to the Des Moines Valley Railroad, in Iowa, to secure its early completion to Des Moines. The first train entered the latter city on Wednesday last. Work on the Iowa and Minnesota railroad is progressing at Ames' Station and Polk City.
